SURVEY FINDS LITTLE EVIDENCE DRUG TESTING DETERS USE
NEW YORK (Associated Poets) “Costs have increased tenfold since 1990 with very little statistical evidence of results” said Eric Greenberg, who conducted the survey for the American Management Association. “No finding of our survey can confirm with any certainty that testing deters drug use.” Many companies have stopped drug testing, finding it expensive and ineffectual. In 1995 the rate of employees testing positive remained flat at 1.9 %. Bill Gates commented: “You gotta be stoned to put up with this kind of tedium. Let’s face it.”.
